songs that are just ending

have you ever thought the way a song ends is just as creative and interesting as the song itself? me too. For awhile i was interested in how songs ended and wanted to make a few to recreate the different ways they stopped playing: the fade out, the abrupt ending on one beat, the expansive outtro sequence — they are all constructs of the audio engineer. sometimes they fit with the context of the song, other times it's just a formulaic way to say: the end.
